At
first, I have to say “thank you for making me smarter in English than ever
before”. Certainly, I am coming down to the last couples of week in the class
and that makes me sad a lot because I really do not want to leave my lovely
teachers and my dear friends here but of course it will not be my last week to
stay in U.S.A. because I have planned to visit the other places such as Florida
after the semester ended. As your question, “Did you complete your goal on this
semester?” I have to frankly answer you that some Yes but some No. However, I
do not care much of them as they all passed; I rather intend to focus on my
future goal. About my future goal: there is only one when I return Thailand and
that is to help my father to run our own family’s business by using the
knowledge and experience that I have learned from here as much as I can do.
Finally, I would like to say, “Love you America!”

Topic #8: Senses
Hurr…this is such a difficult question because all five senses are all important. If I have to choose one, that would be smell. At this point, I have to convince myself to give all you guys the reasons. First, I think sight is the most important sense. Could you imagine if you lose your sight? So far we can see everything – your family, beloved friends, and our beautiful teacher; once we lose the thing we had before, personally, this will be the worst thing. Considering four sense left, I think I could live without the smell sense. Second, if you lose your smelling sense, you still have taste sense. Without sense of smell, eating will not be that great, but at least, I still can taste a food. Thinking of ice-cream, if you cannot smell, you anyway know what it the taste like. Is it “enough”? Third, if you lose sense of smell, you still hear the conversation. I still can chat with my friends, study English, watch movies, etc. You see I have many things I can do without a sense of smell. Finally, this is funny that come up in my mind. Thinking about bad smell, when you walk pass the trash can or spoiled food, I have to walk very fast. But if you cannot smell, is it good? I don’t want to say “yes”. Now, you knew that sense of smell for me is the least important.

Topic #7: Has technology truly made our lives easier?
Has technology truly made our lives easier? What would you un-invent? Ummm… I have been thinking this question for a while. It is such an interesting question! Honestly, sometimes I feel technology makes my life harder. First of all, we are all having that small electronic device. Now, I think everyone can guess; it is smart phone. With this small device, I don’t have to remember anything. One day, my cell phone ran out of battery, so I noted everything there: friends’ phone number, things I will buy at the mall, ect. Somehow, the “smart” phone makes me a person who does not even try to remember anything. I think just a “normal” phone is okay for me. Second, this is probably especially for me. I hate mathematics! I would not un-invent a calculator. Why? Nowadays, everyone has to agree that in school we have never care about the simple calculation such as 43 multiply by 68 (this is so simple, isn’t it), but what we are interested now in calculus, geometry, etc. I think, back to 40 years ago, when calculation was not rich, people just tried to focus on that. Right now, computers are very powerful; we have to learn something that is not as basic as we did 40 years ago. For the last one, it is video game. One of my sisters is always playing video game. Sometimes, I want to chat to her, but she seems busy and does not care about my conversation. I think my parents also have this feeling too. I realize that video game becomes more and more problem in Thailand; if children are “addicted” to video game, they likely have very poor grades. In conclusion, the video game is annoying me because I want to chat to my sister!

Topic #6: Time Travel
I have been thinking about time travel. Sometimes I might think what if I go back into time and witness the tsunami that had struck Thailand on 26 December, 2004?Believe it or not! The tsunami was the second largest sea earthquakes of the world record in historical time and it was the worst natural disaster ever to Thailand. It caused huge damage to property, the economy and the environment. It also caused so much loss of life. According to the research, there were six provinces affected, 407 villagesdamaged, and 12,000 families and 58,550 people suffered, died, or missing. Financial losses from business were about 15 billion baht, and damages of public facilities were over 1 billion baht. The reason that I want to experience this event is because I would love to go to Phuket, one of the island that stuck by tsunami, to be a volunteer. As a Thai citizen, it’s my duty to help Thais. We are just like families. If I wasn’t studying Chinese in China that time, I would greatly hope that I can be there beside them to support them, cheer them up! I promise I would do my best to help anyone that was in trouble. By the way, I wish this event never happened, and no one suffered. However, I know that it is impossible to alter the past. It was a natural disaster and it couldn’t be stop at the moment. The only thing we can do is to reduce the damage when the next big quake hits. I do suggest that we should protect our environment, as well as make a preparedness plan for our country!

Topic #5: Pet Peeves
I like to talk and talking is my habit. I get annoyed when people interrupt me when I telling my story. Then someone cut my unfinished story and start their own story. After that, they ask me with uninterested voice to continue my story.

Topic #4 : I am Beautiful, but I would love to change my height.
If I have a chance to change one thing about my physical appearance, I would love to change my height. I am not tall enough now. It will be really nice if I can be taller, even though it's less than 10cm. I always dream to be as tall as the Americans. Girls look gorgeous when they are tall enough, because they can dress whatever they like. Girls who are tall enough look good with their shape, and probably look sexy sometimes. If I can have a chance to increase my height, it's better to be 165cm. Asian men are not as tall as Europeans. It would be the best if I am around 165cm. On the other hand, I can wear all kind of clothes and have no worry that if the dress is too long for me or do I need a pair of shoes which is high heel to fit my long trousers.
However, I don't think I will actually change it in the future. It doesn't like plastic surgery. It's a big project to change one's height. I have heard some way to change it, like taking pills, but it will cause many problems after taking medicines. I don't think it is safety. What's more, I have already live with it for 25 years, and it doesn't bother me, so I never really plan to change my height.

Topic #3: I Speak Korean.
If I could be instantly fluent in one other language that I do not currently read or speak. In my case, I would prefer to learn Korean rather than other languages. There are several reasons that I choose to learn Korean. The main reason is because I’m in love with Korean pop, dramas and variety shows. I want to understand its language. By the way, I am a fans of their boybands as well as girlbands. In my opinion, Korea is one of the most gorgeous places with rich culture in the world. I love to travel and go shopping in Korea, so it’s also necessary to learn its language in order to get cheaper prices in Koream shops. Another reason is that I think this language sounds beautiful and romantic. In a word, Korean is the language that I love to learn most.
